To receive the monthly benefit for temporary disability, the following documents are required: a medical certificate (e-sick leave) along with a doctor’s statement, medical documentation, hospital discharge report, certificate of rehabilitation allowance, or a decision regarding temporary disability to work, etc., confirming the fact of total temporary incapacity for earning income.
Can a foreigner be covered by the insurance protection?
Yes.
It is not required for foreign applicants to have a temporary or permanent residence card or a work permit. However, it is important that they are connected to Poland through their place of work or residence, or through dual citizenship or marriage.
Are accidents sustained while practicing sports other than those listed in the "Active Life Risks" section covered by the insurance?

What is not covered by the insurance?

- The insurer’s liability during the waiting period, which begins when total temporary disability occurs, during which no benefits are payable
- Benefits after the compensation period has expired, i.e., the maximum period for payment of benefits for total temporary disability
- Benefits for total temporary disability if the insured returns to work in the profession specified in the policy or if the insured’s condition no longer meets the definition of total temporary disability
- For total permanent disability, a condition for the payment of benefits is the insured’s written commitment to repay the insurer if they return to work in the profession after receiving the benefit
- If exclusions are not specified in the application and confirmed in the policy, the protection also excludes risks related to active life, such as: cave exploration, mountaineering off the trails, gravity cycling, white-water kayaking or rafting, risky diving, ocean and sea sailing as a crew member, horse jumping, risky skiing (e.g., off-piste), hunting with firearms, quad biking, and flying for purposes other than as a passenger on commercial airlines.

The limitations of the insurance coverage include:
- Claims related to illnesses or bodily injuries of the insured, or their consequences, that were the subject of medical consultations or treatment under a doctor’s supervision within 36 months before the continuity date specified in the policy (except for medical conditions agreed upon with the insurer and confirmed in the insurance contract, or those that, due to improvement, did not require medical consultations or treatment under a doctor’s supervision for a continuous period of 24 months starting from the continuity date). The continuity date is usually the first date of the insured’s coverage under the terms LW044/AD_D_TTD_PTD_P1, ensuring continuity of the insurance periods of successive policies.
- Claims related to pregnancy, childbirth, and any complications associated with them
